Open for Commissions
Jocelyn started making art in high school when she did a project inspired by the aboriginal people during an internship as a student peer. Her work is unique because she has an imagination that doesn’t shut up and she is inspired by so many different things. She creates art because it’s her therapy and it keeps her alive and happy. She has a good support system that encourages her to keep creating art. She creates mostly digital art but also enjoys writing and painting. Her favorite subjects are people and animals.

Artist Statement
Jocelyn makes art because it’s her therapy, it keeps her alive and happy. She has a good support system that encourages her to keep creating. She creates portraits of celebrities that she feels are somewhat forgotten. She thinks about the entertainment that he brought to the world and wants to honor them. Her portraits of everyday people signify their auras.
Jocelyn’s preferred media is digital because she likes the fact that she can sit down anywhere and create without the mess. Also, if she doesn’t like what she has created she can easily delete a layer and restart. Her mentor in digital art Amy Siegel saw her as an artist that can do more with her digital art and would push her skills giving Jocelyn the confidence to take any mistakes and correct them. She also enjoys writing, and abstract paintings even though she hasn’t painted in a while.
What art means to Jocelyn is basically her heart and soul. It is just a way of creating something that she feels at the moment. She likes that each art exhibition has its own vibe and looks at different artist’s works to see how their imaginations work. Life without art would be boring. Her art relates to the world because she is a unique person who sees the world differently, she is into human rights, and she treats people how she wants to be treated.
